Estate Giving

Leave a lasting legacy to your community by designating a gift in your will to the First West Foundation. Your gift can be a specific dollar amount, securities, or a piece of property such as real estate. Alternately, a gift can be a residual bequest where you donate all or a portion of your estate to the Foundation after all your debts, taxes, expenses and other bequests have been distributed.

To make a gift in your will, simply ask your lawyer to add a codicil to your existing will using our standard will clauses. A codicil is a relatively easy and inexpensive way to plan your future gift.
